This post is about summer and what mine is going to look like.
Ahhhhh summer. The time when school's out. It's hot outside. And you're inside wrapped in a blanket watching Netflix. So sad..... Don't you want to do something with your summer. Something that could help you in the future. How about get a job?
This summer I'm going to try and get a job. Here are my top picks: and ice cream worker, because everybody wants ice cream when it's hot outside so I'll probably see some friends then; a lifeguard, because then you can get in the tan, and again you'll probably see friends because pools feel extraordinary when it's hot outside; and lastly something to do is bus tables at a nearby restaurant, this would not be the most fun that I've put on he list but it's a good way to build a work ethic and a great experience to have under your belt. To work as an ice cream maker I would work at a place called Cold Stone which is a popular chain creamery. For being a life guard I'd work at either Silver Mountain or the M.A.R.C.
If you guys want to tell me what jobs you're looking to do make a comment. It'f be nice to know that one of you other than my teacher is looking at thus blog😅.
Every summer my family and I go to North Carolina to a place called Ocean Isle where we rent one giant house and stay there at the beach with all of the cousins uncles and aunts from my mother's side of the family. Don't tell my dad this but I like my mom's side of the family way more than my dad's side. Anyway the house we usually stay in is right on a quiet part of the beach which changes quite drastically once my family comes to town. We have tradition that most of us will go out to the nearby putt putt place and do that one night out of the week we stay. This trip has been one of my favorite since I was little.
The other trip that my family and I go on every summer is usually longer than a week. We fly or drive from Utah up to a tiny, little town called Nisswa, Minnesota. It's a few miles away from Brainerd which again you probably haven't heard of. In Nisswa we stay in a lakeside house that been in my family on my dad's side for many generations. The lake it's on is called Lake Pelican. It's a good sized lake. Not super big but also not really small. It's fairly perfect. What we do there is all of the family on my dad's side comes out to it at one point or another during the summer. And by all I mean ALL from my cousins to even my dad's cousins' cousins. It's a blast because we go out on the lake everyday and do things like: tubing, water skiing, and wake boarding. One thing I want to introduce my family to is wake surfing which is like wake boarding in the sense that you have the same relative type of board under your feet but it's much less lower impact on things like your knees and back. And if you fall you're not going 20 mph so it must likely won't hurt.
So that's all I have time for this post. Later Flies!
