Today is Saturday, January 30, 2016

Today I woke up at 10:00. This is the longest I've slept in awhile. I'm an incredibly light sleeper. Like a single soft knock at my door will be enough to jar me from my slumber. But since nobody does that on the weekends that's not what I have that wakes me up. My eyes are also really sensitive to light. And there's a single square rectangle in my small room. And in the morning the light shines right through it and directly onto my face. It annoys me so much because once I get up I have a hard time falling back asleep. So my amazing mom bought and set up curtains so that it doesn't let in as much light. I love them so much.

After I woke up, I went upstairs and had cereal for breakfast. Sometimes it's nice to just have cereal with milk instead of the pure cholesterol and protein inside eggs early in the morning. I had Honey Nut Cheerios which is my favorite cereal that my mom regularly gets at the store. In the entirety of cereal my favorite is either HoneyComb or Apple Jacks. I spent the morning watching YouTube and Hulu+. I was so happy. My mom was so kind as to let me sleep in past my private basketball lesson and she moved it to 2:30pm. So the best part of my day that day was relaxing.

Since I have my permit for driving. I got to drive to my lesson in Jeremy Ranch. I got to the lesson with my friend Kaj. It was an hour long and me and him worked on our shots because that is what the coach specialized in. His name is Steven Miles and he is really nice and helps a lot of my team now with our shooting. I leaned a lot from the lesson and I think it really helped my shot. I've noticed my shots have been going in more often and my coach has praised me for it too.

After the lesson I drove my mom home and we prepared for my teammates to commoner and hang out. We went sledding. At first it was just me and my friend Evan that were outside and then everyone else came out. It was a blast. I was sad that my friend Alec couldn't sled. He got a concussion early in the season from taking an elbow to the side of the head. My friend Dylan went down on a sled and he accidentally went sideways and he fell at the lip of the jumping causing him to do some sort of side flip thing. It was hilarious. After that we found a really good inner tube slew that made you catch like 3ft. of air and my friend Landon went off with it and almost did a flip but the powder provided a shot landing so that when he failed it didn't hurt him that bad. After that we played Madden 25 and I had no idea what I was doing.

All in all that day was pretty good Flies. Until next time!

Today is Friday, January 29, 2016

I again have a basketball game today. That's two in one week. Which is totally fine by me but it means I don't really do much after school that day. Not that I would be dong much anyway. I'd probably just try to hang out with my friends Austin and/or Nic.

So I do the same unchanging morning routine as ever. By that I mean I get up, put on clothes, wake up Bella, eat the eggs my wonderful mother made me, and leave the house. The bus ride is the same; cold and boring.

The first class of my White Day is PE. It again was really fun because my team "LSU" (we had to choose a college basketball team to be our name in the tourney) actually got to play a game. It was a lot of fun because all we did is have me and Johnny and Jack toss the ball to each other and screw around. Azym and Sysilia were fine with being back-ups incase the ball bounced off the rim to one of them. Jack was only taking three point shots and he missed every single one of them. It was ok though because either me, him, or Johnny and occasionally Azym or Sysilia would get the rebound and then get a lay-up or easy shot. The game ended with my team winning 22-2. It was a pretty pitiful game and funny to watch. The main Ref was my friend Drew Parker is hilarious and good at refereeing (relatively).

After that game (they're ten minutes each) my team got to ref again because our next game was yet to be decided. It was yet another game that was pitiful to watch. Half of the people in my PE class aren't exactly what you would call coordinated or quick learners. I don't remember the out come of the game my team refereed but what I do remember is that it was really funny. The rest of the school day was uniform with me just going through the motions of classes and dealing with dumb people. And as usual we lost the game against Tooele but it was actually a good game. Park City was actually winning in the beginning and then at some point we just started slipping up and those slip ups cost us and built up quickly.

I know this seems like a pretty pessimistic view and yah I get it. My life is so incredibly blessed. I live in a place where there is no war and this is part of a Golden Age for mankind. But in reality it's mostly an illusion and blissful ignorance. In American half of us live in this blissful ignorance. In reality there are people losing their limbs, lives, minds, and ways of life just to protect us all. And we actually only know the tip of the iceberg of our country. Everybody has their secrets and countries have an enormous amount that they hide from the . To be honest it's really good that they keep us in the dark about the shady $π!† that happens inside the place we so carelessly live in.

Sorry for the saddening post Flies. I haven't been feeling the greatest mentally lately. Luckily I've gotten good at hiding it from my friends so I don't make them worry about me.

Today is Wednesday, January 27, 2016

Today I have a basketball game in Tooele against a school called Grantsville. Toole is about an hour and a half away from Park City. The night before when I was packing my bags for the next day of school I considered bringing a phone charger just incase it died on the way there. After taking a shower while thinking about it a little I decided against it and just tried to be conservative with my battery by putting it on low power mode and using grayscale to use less battery.

So I wake up and throw some clothes on after which I pick up my backpack and amble up the stairs. When I get up there after two small flights of stairs my mom has some wonderful smelling scrambled eggs and bacon nearly ready for me. When I'm getting my shoes on she asks me to wake up my sister. She has this weird thing where all the alarm clocks we buy her go missing or get broken somehow. So I knock on her door and sure enough she's lying there on her bed sleeping like a rug. So softly yell at her to get up and she groggily gets out of bed and I leave so she can get dressed. Get upstairs and eat my eggs of which she shows up right before we leave and scarfs down her plate. It's freezing cold outside which serves as what wakes me up in the morning. We take the bus to school.

The only highlights of school today are that it was a White Day meaning I didn't have many core classes and that we figured out teams in PE for basketball. My team is Me, my friends Jack and Johnny, and then two more people named Azym (male) and Sysilia (female). Jack is on my basketball team and Johnny doesn't have bad coordination so I thought I was pretty set. Of course that day we refereed a game instead of playing. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. Me and Jack and Johnny were the court refs, Syscilia did the score and Azym  just kinda hung out. I was the ref that gave the players the ball went out of bounds and Jack and Johnny had whistles and called violations. Also we narrated the entire game which was hilarious because nobody knew what they were doing.

For the game we got to leave class at 1:00 which is and hour and twenty-five minutes before school actually ends; so that was pretty great. The whole ride there I listened to music and played on my phone.

The game went as usual. Me getting in for the last 1:45 when it was almost impossible for us to dig ourselves out of the hole that we dug and pull out a win. So we ended with a mother loss by about fifteen points which isn't as bad as some of our other losses. After that I went home after with my friend Kaj Madsen who's dad had space and I didn't really feel like going home on the bus and getting my house at 11pm.

LATE (again) NEW YEARS EVE POST [Dec 31]

Hey Flies!

December 31st 2015,

Today has been exhausting.
This morning I woke up at 5 AM. I'm in New York City right now with my grandparents. These are my last few hours because I am leaving today to go back to Utah. I've had a ton of fun here.

We went and saw all of the sights: The Statue of Liberty, Freedom Tower, Central Park, and Times Square. To get to the Statue of Liberty we took a cold 2 hour bus ride where we couldn't see outside the windows, which was the point of taking the bus rather than the subway. To get to the Freedom Tower we took the subway; this was the first day we were there and neither me nor Bella had taken the subway before so it was cool for the both of us. On the Freedom Tower we got to got to the very top and you could see nearly everything. Even the Statue of liberty which is several hundred feet tall looked like a little doll. We walked to Central Park because it wasn't very far away from the hotel we stayed at. There we took a carriage ride around and learned about the place; it was cool. We walked through Times Square to see "The Lion King" on Broadway. All this happened before New Years Eve, so now back to Dec 31st.

So now I'm getting in an Über to go to the airport. Me and my sister are flying back to Utah without my grandparents and our dad is picking us up at the gate since we can't exactly walk around an airport unaccompanied legally. Once we got on the plane we sat and waited to take off. My seat was in the row in front of my sister's and the lady who was sitting next to my sister asked if we were siblings; and when I answered yes she asked if we wanted to sit together. Of course I answered yes because it would be more convenient for us to do that. The ride was pretty normal and of course ended with Bella's phone dying right when we land. We had to wait for everyone to get off the plane before us for some weird reason. And our dad was waiting for us outside the gate.

After we got our bags at the baggage claim we left and went home after being away for a very long time. When we got back me and my sister had our very own little christmas because when we left for christmas break we did not bring any of the presents that had already arrived at our Utah house and instead decided to just open them when we get back. We both got some fun stuff that we liked. I opened mine somewhat hurriedly because I really wanted to play on my new Xbox One. The first game I played was Fallout 4 which was tough but I really enjoyed. It's a game set in a post-apocalypse time where most people have been mutated and become feral. People weren't the only things mutated. There were enormous bugs and these weird reptile-wolf-ram combination things that were really hard to kill called "Death Claws". Anyway that's how that way went for me.

Until next time Flies!

REALLY Late Christmas Post

Hey guys!!!!! Don't really know if there are any of you actually out there.

Boy, it has been awhile since I last posted. I probably should post less spastically and set days were I absolutely have to have a post ready to publish. Seeing as how this is a school assignment it builds up too much. Anyway, I'm just going to say how my Christmas went.

T'was December 25th and all through the house, everybody was stirring and walking about. HAHAHAHAH  I can't believe I'm actually going to post that sentence. Crap, I'm getting off track again, back to Christmas! My mother's side of the family has this game that we all compete in on Christmas called "Christmas Gifts". It's where when you see someone for the first time that day and you have to say, "christmas gifts" to them before they say it to you. It's so much fun even the grown-ups play in the game. I think year I got nearly everyone. There's not a prize for the person who gets the most people but it's a great way to get everybody in the spirit Christmas morning and it's a ton of fun. So I was in Virginia which is where my mom's side of the family lives. They all live on this enormous piece of land that we've nicknamed "Lorely" ("lor-ah-lee") . The driveway is mostly rocks and dirt daily because it's a mile and a half or two miles long. I have 14 cousins on my mom's side. So yah it gets pretty hectic when we come all the way from Utah to see them. They also live in a small town like Park City except it has less famous events. The name of it is Charlottesville. It's amazingly beautiful and very spread out. So on Christmas we open presents at the Big House which is what everyone calls my grandfather and grandmother's house on which they own a farm. That's where my family stays because all of her siblings have houses on the road and it, miraculously, has enough space to fit all 6 of us plus more!

Usually my family has to wait for a little while for everyone to show up. But I don't usually mind waiting. It gives me time to eat some breakfast before the junk fest that comes with it being a holiday starts, plus the wait make everything sweeter. So when when everyone gets to the Big House, we gather at the curtain that hides what's inside the room where all the presents are so nobody gets a sneak peek at what they're getting. Once the curtain was lifted we all go inside and find a place in the room to camp out while my grandfather plays Santa and hands out the presents. He does that so it lasts longer and we have more time to enjoy each present before the next one is given to us. I got so many amazing presents for Christmas. My favorites were my new Xbox one and my Patriots sweatshirt (some of you guys are probably not going to read anymore just because I like the Patriots but thats ok, you are allowed to have your own opinions).

Anyway that was my Christmas and I hope you guys got what you wanted! Until next time Flies!
