Hey Flies
So I didn't think that I would have to do one last post for the year but I do so sorry to bother y'all.
This post is going to be fairly lazily written because it's a Friday and I went to sleep at like 2 am last night and took an AP Human Geography test this morning which I'm pretty sure I did poorly. Btw Social Studies/History/Geography is my least favorite out of all class subjects.
This post is about me reflecting on my blog.
This blog was something that I was posted on last minute. To be honest I won't continue this blog after this year is over unless school calls for me to do so again.
Don't get me wrong. I don't hate this blog. It's just something that I had to do for school and now that this assignment is going to be turned in I'm not going to come back unless necessary. I just have more fun things to do than sit at this computer and type away 500 words or so. And the motivation for this to become a hobby just isn't there.
I don't think this blog has really changed me as a person. It was a place where I could share what I wanted because the only person who looks at this is my Honors English teacher Mr. Parker who's really funny and always has a good attitude whether he's having a good morning or not.
This blog went through a few updates during it's life.
The first one was going from me saying what's on my bucket list to me saying what my day was and then it lead to me either watching Hulu or Youtube. This was because the research was tedious and writing 500 words about a place to go is somewhat hard unless you're just randomly spouting facts which nobody wants to read.
The second update was going from the previous^ to me rambling on about whatever I want. I just talked about what I found cool or funny or whatever. This was easier to write 500 words on because I could just make it up as I went along and whatever I thought I had to filter out all the bad stuff and just type it out.
I don't think I'll come back to this blog so this concludes my blogging journey.
Have fun in life. Laugh at everything. Goodbye Flies :)

LAST POST
Hey flies....
So it's getting towards that time of the year where there's finals and AP tests and projects that are all due on the same day of the same week.
This is my final post on this blog probably.
This is kinda awkward.
I guess I''l share a few things that are on my mind. Mostly this is just going to be me ranting about people and how absolutely idiotic we are.
RANT: People think that they alone control their lives.
DEAR GOD PEOPLE YOU ARE NOT IN CONTROL OF YOUR OWN LIFE. And if you think that moving the the wilderness and hunting your own food and providing your own homing and water is being completely in control of your life well wrong again. If you do that you are (depending on your situation back in civilization) even less in control of your life. This is because you are constantly battling the elements. I severely doubt most of you can make a heating system that doesn't involve fire so the cold will be one of the first things to get you in the night. Speaking of things that get you in the night: predators. Humans may think that we are at the top of the food chain but we are not the only species that mastered the area they live in. There aren't many predators in the area of Utah that I live in because we have hunted the main predator, the mountain lion, near extinction so the only thing that could kill you is the occasional snake or coyote. But in other places around the states there are things like bears which aren't aggressive unless you threaten them but once you do there's really not much you can do. Rangers say play dead but I'm not sure ow that would actually help. Bears would think it peculiar if suddenly the prey they were chasing, moved to the ground and stopped moving mostly.
So when you turds are listening to advice from a friend about something, instead of being cheeky and stubborn maybe listen to them and think about their advice. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT SAY "STOP TRYING TO CONTROL MY LIFE". THIS IMPLIES THAT YOU THINK YOU DO HAVE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE. AND ALSO THEY ARE NOT TRYING TO CONTROL YOUR LIFE. THEY ARE TRYING TO HELP YOU IMPROVE YOUR LIFE 90% OF THE TIME.
SHORTER RANT: Tell people what's wrong if something is wrong
People. If someone asks you if something is wrong and you say no we will hope that we can trust you to tell us if there is actually something wrong. We can not read your mind so I don't know why people get mad when someone asks is they are ok and they say its nothing and then your friend who asks you goes back to doing whatever they were doing. They took the time out of their day that they will never get back in order to ask you how you are doing mentally and if there's something you want to talk about. If you say no and there is something not only are you lying to them but you are misusing the kindness that they are giving to you.
I hope those of you who see this will take a step back in life and see if your friends are ok. If they say there's nothing say ok but make it clear that they can trust you and that they can talk with you about things. If they never trusted you then there wouldn't really be a chance of them opening up to you would there.
Goodbye (maybe) Flies. I hope you guys liked this little thing I made...

RANDOMOSITIES THAT I THINK ARE COOL
THING #1: TIME.
I love thinking about time. Time is something that is unchangeable thus far. Time is infinite and the time that we are around is finite. Time works differently in different perspectives. Ever wondered why you can never swat a fly?? That is because for them time is moving faster. By this I mean a few seconds for us humans could be half a minute for them. To flies we are enormous and slow. This is all relativity and this knowledge is comparable to the tallest drop of water turning to ice on an iceberg.
There are theoretical particles called "tachyons". These particles are ones that move faster than light, which as of right now is the confirmed universal speed limit. It is theorized that if we were able to partially control tachyons then we would be able to see the future. The theory is that moving faster than light is the key to traveling through time. Since they move faster than light you would only see two images of it. A premiere of it arriving, and a afterimage of it going away. Learn more about tachyons here.
Another bit about relativity is that the closer you are to a black hole, the faster time will be moving relative to everyone else. This theory is shown in the movie "Interstellar" when they have to travel to a planet that orbits a black hole for 1 hour. By the time they get back to the ship, the character who stayed on the ship says about 7 years has passed. Surely this can't be possible right? Wrong. This theory is really haze and I don't quite understand it yet but it has something to do with gravity.
THING #2: GRAVITY
Gravity is a force everyone is familiar with. We all live with it and accept that it's there. We know that planets and stars have gravitational fields and somewhere there's a source and that the farther away you get from the source the less effect gravity will have on you. However nobody knows how it works and how to manipulate it. Don't get me wrong. We know how to explain in great detail how it affects things. But we only have theories about what causes it. One theory is: the more mass you have the more gravity you emit. That's really the only theory that I know of so I'm just going to stop this post here and let you think about time and gravity and if I've inspired you to want to learn something new because it interests you then that's amazing.

This is a picture of a tachyon. I don't understand it either so bear with me. Kudos to here for creating this image. |

Summer!
Hey Flies!
This post is about summer and what mine is going to look like.
Ahhhhh summer. The time when school's out. It's hot outside. And you're inside wrapped in a blanket watching Netflix. So sad..... Don't you want to do something with your summer. Something that could help you in the future. How about get a job?
This summer I'm going to try and get a job. Here are my top picks: and ice cream worker, because everybody wants ice cream when it's hot outside so I'll probably see some friends then; a lifeguard, because then you can get in the tan, and again you'll probably see friends because pools feel extraordinary when it's hot outside; and lastly something to do is bus tables at a nearby restaurant, this would not be the most fun that I've put on he list but it's a good way to build a work ethic and a great experience to have under your belt. To work as an ice cream maker I would work at a place called Cold Stone which is a popular chain creamery. For being a life guard I'd work at either Silver Mountain or the M.A.R.C.
If you guys want to tell me what jobs you're looking to do make a comment. It'f be nice to know that one of you other than my teacher is looking at thus blog😅.
Every summer my family and I go to North Carolina to a place called Ocean Isle where we rent one giant house and stay there at the beach with all of the cousins uncles and aunts from my mother's side of the family. Don't tell my dad this but I like my mom's side of the family way more than my dad's side. Anyway the house we usually stay in is right on a quiet part of the beach which changes quite drastically once my family comes to town. We have tradition that most of us will go out to the nearby putt putt place and do that one night out of the week we stay. This trip has been one of my favorite since I was little.
The other trip that my family and I go on every summer is usually longer than a week. We fly or drive from Utah up to a tiny, little town called Nisswa, Minnesota. It's a few miles away from Brainerd which again you probably haven't heard of. In Nisswa we stay in a lakeside house that been in my family on my dad's side for many generations. The lake it's on is called Lake Pelican. It's a good sized lake. Not super big but also not really small. It's fairly perfect. What we do there is all of the family on my dad's side comes out to it at one point or another during the summer. And by all I mean ALL from my cousins to even my dad's cousins' cousins. It's a blast because we go out on the lake everyday and do things like: tubing, water skiing, and wake boarding. One thing I want to introduce my family to is wake surfing which is like wake boarding in the sense that you have the same relative type of board under your feet but it's much less lower impact on things like your knees and back. And if you fall you're not going 20 mph so it must likely won't hurt.
So that's all I have time for this post. Later Flies!

TRACK IS AWESOME AND AWFUL PT. 2.5/ THEME UPDATE AGAIN
Anyway getting back to the second meet. It was around 2:45 when we got to Union which was the high school where the second meet was taking place. My friends Jack, Carson, and I went into the school to get changed into our track shorts and jersey. I was so glad that I brought athletic underwear that day because the track shorts are extremely small and my thighs are whiter than a ginger covered in sun lotion. I mean seriously it is pretty and and I need to change that.... or just bring athletic shorts to every meet. Knowing me I'll probably just do the latter. Anyway so we go in the school and Carson and I are getting changed in the mens bathroom with a few others from our team. Once we're done changing we realize that somehow we lost Jack. We started heading towards the field thinking that he probably headed there since e was changed before we got on the bus to Union. We found him on our way there and we all just continued to walk to the track.
When we got to the place we realized IT WAS UN-GODLY WINDY. I MEAN HOLY $Ï€!† THE WIND WAS MOVING LIKE 20-25 MPH. CARSON ACTUALLY GOT MY BLANKET, TIED THE TOP AROUND HIS NECK, GRABBED THE BOTTOM AND JUMPED UP. WHEN HE JUMPED UP THE WIND CARRIED HIM BACK AN INCH OR TWO AND HE SAT IN THE AIR FOR LIKE A SECOND. IT WAS INSANE. So it stayed that windy for the entire meet which was really a pain in the end when the sun set because it got super cold. So in my race the 100 meter I got second against two other people. It wasn't my greatest race because again I stood up right away but it wasn't awful. After our respective race Carson, Jack, and I walked around cheering on other people in races and being cold. We hung out with other people. To name a few: Sydney, Patsy, Katie, and River (All girls). It's usual that if we hang with anyone outside of us that we'd hang with them because there are only three other freshman guys that run track and we don't really talk with the sophomores that often. Nearing the end the freshman girls got all the blankets they could and laid down close to each other making a sort of cuddle pile next to the baseball wall which was made of mesh so it only mostly protected you from the god-awful wind. I laid close to the wall to try and not have to deal with the wind so naturally I was nearby them as well. No I was not in the pile, because I'm a little wimp and I don't the guts for that. One of the girls I'm friends with named Sydney who I'm 75% sure was joking actually told em to come over and lie close to her. I hoped she wasn't kidding but the wussy part of me told me I shouldn't scoot closer so I just blushed and hid my face in my hood. I actually figured out that I like her more than a friend not the bus ride home. So the rest of that evening went on with everyone being cold and hoping the meet would end. The bus ride home was really fun because we stopped to get food which was good because I had run out of cereal. And on the bus my friends Carson, Jack, Sydney, and Haley played "Never Have I Ever" which is a game where you have a certain number of lives and you go around the circle saying something you've never done, and if you've done something someone says they haven't then you lose a life. During this game is when I figured out that I like Sydney. She's smart and funny and pretty. Anyway it was around 10:40 when we got back to the school and 11 p.m. when I got home. Of course I went straight to bed. End.

Update: Hey Flies. If you haven't already noticed, I haven't been watching Hulu or YouTube at the end of each post. From now on I'm going just blog about whatever I want because I can. I doubt you will mind it because I bet $100 dollars that there isn't a single person that actually follows this blog or even looks at it other than my English Teacher Mr. Parker. So here's to you Mr. Parker, Peace out and sorry this post is kinda long.

Here's an update button and I couldn't find the url because it for some reason is blocked. Sorry Mr. P |
TRACK/FIELD IS AWESOME AND AWFUL PT.2
I'm not going to be talking about hurdling or relays because those things don't take part in. I might do a relay in the future but for now I don't. Remember I'm a freshman in high school so I have a while in track to figure out if I want to do a relay or hurdles.
So right now I am a sprinter who does the 100 meter dash. I also do the long jump and the high jump.
The first meet I went to this season was in Tooele which is a good hour or more from Park City. The meet was very late and Track meets take a long time because there are a lot of events that need to happen on the same place so they're right after each other with almost no break in between. This first Track meet was a cool experience and I learned a lot of things: No phones on the track/field, BLOCKS ARE A PAIN IN THE A**, and that you should always bring snacks and a blanket. The snacks are because you WILL get hungry and the blanket is if it gets cold.
For my first race.... it was pretty awful. I was inexperienced with blocks and stood straight up as the gun went off. You don't want to stand straight up when accelerating in a sprint because it makes you less quick which determines the race in a 100 meter dash. In a race like the 3200 meter, which is the high school version of the 3000 meter at the Olympics, you don't need to have a lot of acceleration. You just need to be able to run for a long time. Anyway getting back to my first meet it was pretty uneven full with nothing particularly interesting happening. I only did the one event of 100m of which I got put in a heat with all seniors and one junior. Needless to say I came in last by a very noticeable margin. I got back to my house after the meet around 9:40.
My second meet was one of the best days of my year so far. We got out of school at 12:20 because the meet was in Union which 2+ hours away so that was awesome. The classes I missed that day are Math, which is my favorite academical subject but I hate the class since most of the people hat me for a reason I don't know and I like the teacher as a person but she's not the best teacher. And the second class I missed was Stage Tech which is a class supposed to be one semester long and I took it both semesters so I already knew all the stuff. Continued...

Here's a picture of some Running Blocks for those of you who don't know from here |
TRACK/FIELD IS AWESOME AND AWFUL PT.1
Track is a sport that people compete in contests of running and jumping.
The running events are all about getting the fastest time. There are sprints, middle distance races, long distance races, hurdles, and relays. You can find all of this information here.
There are three sprinting events currently held at the Olympics: 100 meter, 200 meter, and 400 meter. The fastest time ever recorded at the Olympics for the 100 meter sprint is 9.63 seconds done by a famous runner named Usain Bolt from Jamaica. The fastest time recorded at the Olympics for the 200 meter is 19.32 seconds, again ran by Usain Bolt. The fastest time ever recorded for the 400 meter is 43.94 seconds ran by Kirani James from Grenada.
The middle distance running events are the 800 meter, 1500 meter, and mile run. The fastest time for the 800 meter is 1 minute and 40.91 seconds ran by David Lekuta Rudisha from Kenya. For the 1500 meter the fastest time is 3 minutes and 33.11 seconds ran by Asbel Kipruto Kiprop from Kenya. And lastly for the mile the fastest time is 3 minutes and 43.13 seconds by Morroco's Hicham El Guerrouj.
The long distance running events are the 3,000 meter steeplechase, 5,000, meters, and 10,000 meters. The fastest time for the 3,000 meter steeplechase is 8 minutes and 5.81 seconds from Ezekiel Kemboi from Kenya. For the 5,000 meter run the fastest time is 12 minutes and 53.82 seconds by Kenensina Bekele from Ethiopia. And for the 10,000 meter the fastest time is 27 minutes and 1.17 seconds by Kenensina Bekele.
Now, let me get something straight. These people are IN-F***ING-SANE. They have trained most of their life to get even a slim chance at going the Olympics or another large sports gathering. An example of how super human these people are is that remember when I said the fastest time for the 100m sprint was 9.63 seconds? That means this guy is moving more and a meter per second. Which probably means their stride is also longer than a meter because if you're moving as fast as you possibly can than that means that you will probably not be taking more than one step a second. For all of you who follow the imperial system more than the metric system. One meter is about 3.28 feet. so the 100 meter is about 328 feet long.
